Charlotte Latvala

Bio: Charlotte Latvala has been an introvert her whole life, and a writer for most of it. She has written thousands of words over the years, including many for Good Housekeeping, Cosmo, Redbook, Parenting, and other well-known publications. She writes a mostly-funny weekly column for the Beaver County Times newspaper (www.timesonline.com), and is working on a series of unrelated novels she hopes to finish before old age and decay set in.

  1. I really like the idea behind this blog! “Caterpillar” and “Universe” are my favourites. I have started following this blog and I look forward to your future posts!

  2. This is a wonderful blog! I think my favourite so far was ‘optimist’ . Most people don’t understand introverts , and so I find myself become antisocial when I’m actually just recharging!

      1. Well it makes me laugh but whether it’s funny for anyone else is debatable…may be to UK centred to translate overseas. Thanks for replying.

    1. Hi April – You discovered my secret: I do live in your head! (Seriously, though, I live near Pittsburgh, PA.) Just had a look through your blog and would love to connect. I also blog at http://www.howtobe50.wordpress.com if you want to check that one out — I have a feeling we’re about the same age? Maybe?

    1. No, I don’t mind at all! I’m delighted, as a matter of fact. And thanks so much for the links and the kind words. Best of luck in your new blogging adventure!

      1. Of course, although I’ve read it a few times now so won’t see it there myself!
(Fib, I’ll probably sneak a look as you’re my only fan so far!)

      2. Thanks so much! And seriously, please keep writing. You have a nice voice and dry sense of humor. (And I’m automatically a fan of anyone who references Lewis and Tolkien.) I’m a long-time writer but new to this blogging game; still trying to figure things out. Good luck to both of us, right?

    1. Thanks so much! Took a peek at your blog and it’s fascinating. My husband and I are “older” parents (our last child was born when I was 42 and my husband was 47) so I completely relate to the whole tired thing! I look forward to reading more about your journey.

    1. Again, thanks so much for the lovely compliments! Especially since you lean toward the extrovert end of the scale -:) On a kinda-sort related note, you may enjoy my other blog, http://www.howtobe50.wordpress.com. When you have a moment and you’re not too tired, that is! Take care and see you in the blogosphere!
